Planking?!?!

I got this handy dandy idea to write down everything blog-worthy that happened to me that day, whether it is in one post or a couple. On days when I have a lot of stuff to blog about, I can make a couple posts and save some in drafts. Then, on days like this, i have a handy dandy blog post ready! Cool beans, right? Anyway...

Have you all heard of planking? If not, it's where you find something (anything really) that you lay on like a plank. like a sort of wall, post, or bench. Then they came up with coning, where you order an ice cream cone for some restaurant at the drive through, but when you get your cone, you grab it by the ice cream part. I think it's pretty stupid because you spend money and gas to get the ice cream, and then you don't get to eat it and your hands are all sticky. Then came owling, where you perch on things (like planking) except you sit very still like an owl. Well, Mady and I decided to try this. :)
Here is us planking:

We didn't try coning. (No money/vehicle)
But we did try owling!
And then we thought, why not try something at least a little more logical?
So fountaining/statuing was born! It's just like owlung and planking, except you try to post like a fountain/statue. Here are our first tries.

And that was our adventures for Monday. But the fun didn't stop when I got home...
Jason was helping down load some games an things on Haley's laptop, and I asked him if he could do a few things on mine. I was willing to wait, but he told me to give him the laptop, and this is what happened.

LAPTOPCEPTION!

True friends plank/owl/fountain/statue with you.

OHMYGOSH

Okay some of you might make fun of me for this.
I AM SO EXCITED!!! Guess what this girl got to do today!?!?!
I SAW THE PRESIDENT OF OUT UNITED FREAKING STATES!!!!!!
With my own two eyeballs!!

Here's the story:
Mr. President Sir Dude was going on a sort of tour through the midwest, and made a surprise visit to GHS!!! Well word quickly spread, and I was with Mady. So we all hopped into her moms van and rode to the high school. We got there just in time to see his big bus leaving, but he was waving at everyone, and he looked RIGHT AT US and WAVED!!!!!
Now, some of you might be going, "Oh. you waved. Cool." or "I got ot shake his hand! That's way cooler than waving!" But really, how many people will actually get to see their president in real life?! Not many. So even though I was not one of the lucky few to hold a conversation with him or shake his hand, I'm still super excited!

In other less exciting news, I finally got to have a real life experience with cutting hair! Many of you that tknow me know that I love doing hair, and I think I'm pretty good at it! We;ll, I have cut my own bangs before, and they turned out pretty well, but Sunday, my friend Sammi actually let me give her a full on hair cut! Now, I don't have pictures, but Sammi hass gotten a LOT of great comments on her hair, and I feel very acomplished! It looked really good! So I guess that's my fantastic news for today.

True friends go madly wave at our PRESIDENT with you. :)

Hiii :)

Hello world! :)
So I actually have a short video for you, and I'll put that up in a second. But Yesterday and today, I had sooo many cool things happen! OR, at least blog worthy. We went to my cousins baby shower, but on the way there, there was this MASSIVE accident, and traffic was completely stopped. It was really scary and people had to be taken to the hospital. The baby shower was super fun, and I won bingo! Haha. We also made the signs on the drive home.

Sadly, no one waved.

I have a TON of things I want to blog about, but I really can't fit it all into this post. So I shall post for the next few days exactly what my weekend consisted of.
Since I have actually figured how to work movie maker, I edited a video for you wonderful people, and here it is! I short piece on what exactly we do at band camp :P
Question of the day: What is your favorite breakfast cereal? I know I absolutely LOVE cereal, no idea why, but it's so tasty! Maybe I'll send a box of cereal to a lucky commenter? Maybe I won't... who knows?!?!

Note: I have pictures of my hair, but I'm not posting them yet because of what I said above. (Those certain people know what I'm talking about.

True friends send you videos of ten hours of the Narwhal song.

Are YOU excited?

OH. MY. GOSH! This isn't even how I originally started the post, but I was ALMOST DONE, and I did something, and wound up deleting the WHOLE FREAKING THING!!!

With that said, my original intro isn't even cool/funny even more. Stupid blogger keyboard typing GRR.

What the title is actually about is..
I started typing that and then I went to start a video on the ever wonderful YouTube, and clicked out of this tab! Today just isn't my day...

ANYWAY! What the title is actually about is SCHOOL! What are your thoughts on school? I'm excited, but at the same time, not. And for us girls, picking out that ever so special first day of school outfit. Hehe. I had a conversation with Mady the other day about the importance of the second day of school outfit. For me, it has always been, use your second cutest outfit for the first day of school, because it's only a half of a day. Why waste your best outfit on three hours of school? Then you have your very best outfit for the second day when you actually have to spend time with everyone! Am I the only person who does this?

If you haven't noticed, I have updated the About US! page! Check it out! What do you think? I'm trying to get all the old Carter and Hannah videos beck so I can update the videos page.

So I'm taking a break to edit a possible upload, you just don't know it. Except for the fact that i just told you.

Well... editing is not going well.. so no video tonight. Unless....?

Or not. I found a funny video NEVER BEFORE SEEN! But blogger is having a hissy fit. Well, I
guess night!

Band Camp: UPDATE!

Hello, my fantastic and wonderful followers! :)
I have a couple updates for you from the wonderful, and a little painful, world of Carter. And Hannah. Through Carter. Wanna know WHY?!?! Becauseee.... SOMEONE doesn't know their password or username. And that's why they don't post anymore.

Anyway, not the point.
Our wonderful friend Mady has finally gotten over her icky stomach flu, and will be back at band camp!! YAY!!! My lunch buddy is back! Except, we can't walk anywhere. Again, wanna know why?!?!

Well.... in a few simple words, I got attacked by a bike.
A BIKE?!?! You say. Yep. A bike. Here's the story:
I was just standing near Amanda's truck during our lunch break, chillin' out maxin' and realxin' all cool... :P Eating my pizza and just hanging out. Then Skyler (He's a Trumpet. You know those crazy trumpets.) Came riding up on a bike. Except, this bike didn't have brakes. So he stops the front tire only, causing the back tire to fly up in a kind of front wheelie. And then the beck wheel swung around, whacking the unsuspecting victim, yours truly. In the leg. REALLY hard. So I was all, Ow ow oww! But then I hobbled down to the nurses office and got myself an ice pack. And all was well. For now...
When I got home I sat with another ice pack and propped up my leg, but the pain was getting worse, so my mom took me to the hospital, and we got a doctor to check it out. It was decided to be a deep tissue contusion (Cool word right?) and I need to keep it elevated, with ice, Ibuprofen every 8 hours, and NO MARCHING for the next two days. Which is pretty much the rest of band camp. Yay.......
BUT Mady is back and feeling better so it's a kinda win-lose situation. And that's my update!

True friends make rainbow cupcakes with you at 2 a.m.

Band Camp?!?!

HAaiiiiii!
So news numero uno. Mady is sick. She had the stomach flu, which sucks really bad, because no one likes to be sick, ESPECIALLY when it's dealing with your stomach. Annnnnnd when you are sick, you stay home. which brings me to news numero dos.

BAAANNNNDDDDDD CCAAAMMMMMPPPPP!!!!!!
No, I'm not really that excited. Well I am. But I'm not. It's complicated. So some of you may be thinking about band camp from what you've seen on movies and that whole "this one time at band camp..." so here's a crash course in the GHS Marching band's Band Camp.
1. We have about 3 hours total of down time. That is Our 1 1/2 hour luch, and the many water breaks because it's super freaking hot outside! Well... not so much anymore. But last week I thought I migth melt on the field at some points. We've even had people faint! But I'm getting off topic here.
2. We spend 3 hours in the morning specifically working on marching. And parading. (Random, parading looks like it's spelled weird, right? I think it does...) I hate parading. HATE SPINNERBAIT!
Parading sucks.
3. We spend 3 hours in the afternoon working only on music. Which is pre-game (William Tell, Silver & Gold, The Star-spangled Banner), our parade chart, and our show music. Our parade chart is easy this year because it's also our opener for our field show. Jason fondly calls it our 'Paropener' :P
So not much time for the whole "This one time at band camp..." moments. We still get a few, though. Hehe..

BUT MY WHOLE POINT is, Mady isn't at band camp because of stupid stomach flu. so Kathryn is very sad. :'( No lunch buddy, and no one to annoy Jeffery when we stand in front of the air conditioner during break :P
Another thing is that this made me realize exactly how close school is to starting! We have EXACTLY one week of freedom left. And then we start the torture grown-ups like to call school.

Actually, I need to go to bed very soon because I'm already getting up ridiculously early in the morning, and i need my sleep! Goodnight interwebs!

True Friends hog the air conditioning with you at band camp!
